Captain Tyler Hassig is a US Coast Guard certified 25 ton Master Captain with USCG technical endorsements for Commercial Towing and Auxiliary Sailing. He holds certifications in First Aid and CPR, PADI Advanced Open Water Diving, and is a registered SC Notary Public. 

Captain Tyler has an extensive environmental science background with a BS in Conservation Biology from Clemson University and MS in Environmental Studies from The Graduate School at The College of Charleston. Tyler has worked on a variety of vessels in the South Carolina coastal waterways, employed as a Fisheries Scientist with the SC Department of Natural Resources and US Fish and Wildlife Service. He has captained ecotours and educational trips for Marine Lab in Key Largo Florida, and private boat trips for Tidal Trails, an ecotour and watersports company based out of Kiawah Island, SC. In addition, Tyler has experience in sailing and boating instruction, vessel transport and delivery, route planning and logistics, and vessel repair.
